alright enough screenshots time for playing.
Are the glowing Khajiit eyes vanilla? I forget...
If it isn't, where's the mod download?
Also, am I the only one who's very pissed off that every Elder Scrolls game is pretty much limited to a single breed of Khajiit when canonically there are 16 (17 if you include the Mane) breeds? I mean, not that playing as an Alfiq would be practical at all, but the humanoid breeds on the other hand...

Race menu lists them as being from inigo, but inigo himself doesn't have them strangely.
Also half those breeds are basically "that other breed, but bigger and beefier." Coincidentally that fact is also my entire justification for the khajiit barbarian.

True, but even ignoring the *-Raht breeds, there's a lot. I think one more breed showed up in Oblivion once or twice or something... But still, the fact that at any given location every Khajiit seems to be the same breed is a bit... Umm... Incredibly stupid. And sadly, there don't even seem to be many good mods to put all the other humanoid breeds in.
I mean this one looks very well made but I don't know if this is their canonical appearance or not. According to wikis, they appear in Arena, but they aren't the playable breed and I can't seem to find any images for comparison.

I think a lot of the breeds lack a proper canonical appearance because they only appear in text form if at all so that appears to be correct enough.

Good point... That would be fixed if they would just put the bloody breeds in a game... C'mon, so many people want Elsweyr to be TES:VI, make it happem Bethesda!

Non-human races are more often than not the red headed step-child of games like this. The idea is that the average person wants to play a person, dwarves and elves can get a pass but a walking cat is unusual enough that some people might be put off by it. The modeling work aside a list of even 5 different breeds of just khajiit will probably be enough to make some sod from marketing start yelling about focus groups.

If they put the next installment in Elseweyr they basically have no choice, unless they want an immense lore-breaking immersion-killing example of Gameplay and Story Segregation... I'm rather hoping they do, though. Elseweyr seems like a really interesting place.

Imo hammerfell or something seems most likely. Maybe summerset is it?
Yeah summerset isles definitely. The TES games generally have very far reaching effects, both oblivion and Skyrim dealt with Armageddons, so we've saved the world at least twice now, what's left to threaten Tamriel as a whole? The Aldmeri Dominion.

They already had a game in Hammerfell I think. (Redguard?)
Summerset (Alinor now I guess, whatever) I think they want to keep relatively mysterious (I mean ignoring TES:O) and I don't think they let many non-Altmer in during the 4th era. Of course, if it was set in Summerset, there's a higher than normal chance we'd get to see more of the Psijic Order again, which I really want.
I know Daggerfall was set in part of High Rock but I have a feeling they might revisit it (and Orsinium by extension) in a new installment since they're running out of places mostly comprised of Human/Elf races. Perhaps Valenwood? Argonia is pretty much "NO" unless they only do the outer reaches and the parts of the Morrowind mainland they conqured, or unless it's somehow become less suicidally dangerous to pretty much everyone.

Of course this all assumes they even plan to make a TES6, skyrim wrapped up the prophecy nicely and then ESO came out as a kind of "go nuts, we're done" gesture.

"The prophecy" doesn't every game pretty much have a new prophecy?
Also if ES:O is the last stage of the Elder Scrolls then I'm going to go straight to whoever's in charge and punch them in the face.
The games are too popular for them to just stop making them. (Especially considering how much of a technical flop ES:O has been)

Kinda hoped for a Akavir invasion story on TES6 either Tamel being invaded or invading Akavir for the 2nd/3rd time?

I can't recall the entire prophecy off the top of my head but it's been a LONG time making. The Prophecy mentions the oblivion crisis, the volcanic eruption in morrowind, and one or two other disasters that all lead up to the return of Alduin. So we've been on the same prophecy for at least 3 different games, just with each one focusing on a different part of it.

That would be awesome. Akavir is pretty mysterious still, even after all this time. Heck, maybe a proper war between the two, with both invading eachother. (I've always wanted to see Akavir itself in a game)

Two of those three events happened between the time of Oblivion and Skyrim, and the other was during Oblivion. Only in Skyrim were these events connected in any way with the Alduin's Wall prophecy, retroactively. So basically, they were making it up as they went along and will probably continue to do so. Skyrim was a nice end to the prophecy introduced in Skyrim.

Actually oblivion directly references that the next step in the prophecy is the arrival of the dragonborn, and that the blades will bide their time until then.

"With no Emperor to serve, the Blades now return to our ancient role. We will bide our time until the next Dragonborn arises." According to random internet person. Not a prophecy so much as foreshadowing for the next game, which they were probably already planning. Heck, there are probably hints towards the next game somewhere in Skyrim, probably just well hidden without context to look for.

Yes I'm indeed wondering if there are. It feels like even back then something as overt as "we'll lay low until X" has to be heavy foreshadowing, and I don't know of anything so heavy handed in skyrim.

Well not in the main quest perhaps. As I've already stated, something that seems relatively mysterious is the Psijic Order's sudden disappearance (along with their island) between the Oblivion and Skyrim. It is only used a little in the Mage's Guild questline, and the Order takes away the Eye of Magnus, saying, paraphrased, that "the world isn't ready for it yet". Seems like a point to jump off of, especially considering that next to none of that is explained; their disappearance, the eye, etc.
