Your first mistake is using the AUG. ever.
I like the AUG, accurate, decent firerate(farcry from the drop from previous game when zoomed in) and yes, the not overly tunnel visioned scope/reflex signt at the cost of slower reload time and the 3k cost.l also not to forget the better armor penetration damage

The SG 553 in my opinion works better, it does more damage(I think) it has a more manageable firerate(In my opinion) and it has simpler recoil management, down and to the right slightly.

The SG 553 in my opinion works better, it does more damage(I think) it has a more manageable firerate(In my opinion) and it has simpler recoil management, down and to the right slightly.
The AUG actually.has better recoil if I recall correctly, just down if not not move at all.

The thing is they are for the most part both functionally identical to the AK/M4A4/1-S. The main thing you want out of an assault rifle is the capacity to kill a player with a single headshot. The scoped rifles (SSG/AUG) perform slightly better at range, but it's negligible in most situations compared to just being good at using the M4A4/AK and they cost so much more for essentially no benefit (AK + armour is much more valuable than an SSG + no armour).
For reference both of the scoped rifles do less damage than their non-scoped counterparts, and the slower firerate will gimp you in close quarters. The range advantage isn't enough to let you go against an AWPer so there is no point. There is a reason nobody touches them in competitive.

Eh, they work really well for me the perfect weapon, accurate, long ranged and with the right management, the gun has saved my life in close quarters where an AK or and M4 couldn't.
I also, bear in mind, have a VERY different playstyle suited to the Nova than everyone else

Cant deny your statement, but against a armored target the scoped assault rifles does more damage as both has the best and second best armor lpenetration,

Me and Alpha use the weapon...
It's like people who avoid the Nova saying the Nova's bad and never actually use it. Yes, it can be bad if you use it the same way as you'd use a sniper/ AR, but... it gets 900 per kill and can be useful and I have my own special style.
It's also good at pulling down and taking out groups, I can flick between people, slow them down, put them off, eventually kill them.
