There really should be a mod for any attachment on anygun, imagine a deliverer with laser barrel.
(I still cant find a bipod like the loading screen marksman rifle)
Playing around with the Hunger Games simulator, Undertale edition. First day, Chara questions his sanity and goes on a killing spree. How predictable. Meanwhile, Frisk is telling jokes to people and sharing supplies. Sans strangles Undyne in her sleep, Alphys and W.D Gaster die trying to escape, Asgore is killed because he refused to kill his rival, Toriel was poisoned, and Mettaton received food from an unknown sponsor.
Just started to make my first bit of ASCII art, and holy shit, this stuff is actually kinda challenging. Like a good puzzle, almost. Trying to make the Undertale logo in all caps. I might post it here once I'm done.
I'm tempted to give up on modding Starbound for now. At least until there's actual, concise, detailed instructions on what the hell it is you're supposed to do. I followed, to my knowledge, the most up-to-date tutorial, downloaded and referenced a base race mod to make sure no files were missing, and also used the Kineptic as a reference for what does what, and I'm getting errors and changing or adding stuff in JSON takes so bloody long it's just really quite awful. Bleh. And I was making such nice-ish progress, too. The only things I really had left to do before they were functional as a race were to make armors (I have one made so far, mostly just recoloring and merging, with minor editing) and weapons.

Well here's the error part, which just happens out of the blue after everything preceeding it was loaded fine.
It's about as useful as the popup window was: Not.

I wasn't aware that Starbound generated logs of any kind. It is rather hard to notice them when it's a single file in the win64 directory that doesn't even say "log" in its name. That said, I've updated my previous post with the offending part of the log, and it means nothing to me.

Portrait frames? Never seen this kind of error before but do you use the race extention thingie?

It also could the the new thing with npc mugshot when talking to them

i can't wait until i get into the actual meat of some mods.

Yes. I searched the error and it seems to be something to do with the AI being outdated (big surprise there since my reference sources are so mix-and-match that half of it is probably outdated)
I don't know what file is causing it or what I need to change to fix it, though, so that's great.
It could be a file that isn't needed anymore, a file that needs to be altered, a file that needs to be added... AUGH.
everyone is off playing starbound and I'm just here...trying to get moved in and set up properly.

I made a Kineptic in Stable just before the Unstable was released... Didn't do much yet though.
Once this patch is made Stable and most mods are updated, I'm tempted to see if we could try the server idea for the... um... Third time? Probably the third time.

Also, is anyone else annoyed that in the combat update, they still haven't added any random, or even just more, less-rare staves?
I haven't found a single one yet, and I'm at the final tier.
I also have a strange feeling they haven't actually made staves any less terrible, unlike the other combat options. They probably still hurt you, you probably still can't move, etc. Staves really do seem like an afterthought more than an actual combat style.

Best reference surce? The one that's already in game, extract those ones out if you have to, the new merging file thing will make it harder though.

Best reference surce? The one that's already in game, extract those ones out if you have to, the new merging file thing will make it harder though.

Yeah, Marx and you have the right idea. I'll probably do that later, though I'm sure I'll just end up finding more files that need to be fixed that way, rendering everything I've done with the files so far moot :/

Not really though, just had plans to revive the mechanian race mod, I'm still at my limit so no branch class work at the moment (runner, hunter, heavy, rocketeer/missile platform) and definatly no combo swings and really complex thing I had in me head.

At well this stage the onlything salavage is the sprites, since it's just another race that is similar to the vanilla, the code is mostly useless.

Actually I'm more into vector thrust modding, it was more amusing (space battleships, starwars laser pew pew thing)
