That's the problem if the topic is everything. Because then, the topic is nothing.

We really don't have a topic around here except occasionally starbound/terraria/minecraft and RP, which is probably why I find it so hard to contribute anything but shitposts.

>implying I don't already try to discuss anything I please
It has been pretty darn dead around here.
The main forum has no topics right now, it seems. I posted a few of my Starbound suggestion links here hoping it may spark discussion but as expected, even with the update few people are interested in the topic, and I'm boring in general so me coming up with a topic of discussion is like a rock coming up with... anything. I've also been distracted by reading a very long webcomic - yes, another - so yeah.
I've started making out character sheets of a few of my characters for the Semiserious RP, so hopefully I'll join in that soon at least? I don't like budging in on other peoples' roleplaying though, so I dunno how I'll introduce my characters properly :/
M'eh. Just one of those slow weeks I guess.

Has the RP actually coalesced into a coherent mass yet?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that but it's been going really slow and I haven't been paying much attention as a result.

I mean before it was really ridiculous with 12 different people in 15 different places and it was absolutely impossible to follow without filtering out half the people posting which in turn would prevent them from interacting with you in any way and oh my god. Is it still like that?

Speaking of which, I'm working on adapting and adding the Glitch to add to the list of races.
Except they might as well be called something else... They're not super close to the Glitch in Starbound.

Nope. Everyone is barely doing anything. Right now it's more 'slice of life' than anything else.

You're not answering the question why aren't you answering the question? Is everyone scattered around into half a dozen groups on opposites sides of the planet or not?

Kinda, cept now most are in space. I can join in any time I want, blame it on a fucked up time spell or something.

Yeah, I saw that post. I'm curious - why do you want to add them in?
(Also the Stable is out? If so, cool.)
As for the slice-of-life thing, once again I'd love to get a plot going but judging by my attempts in the previous RP, I shouldn't be the only person trying to organize it.
I'm not sure what kind of story we'd have anyway... I mean, I have character arcs pseudo-planned for my three "main" characters, but I'm talking overall big story stuff.
(On that note, I have 3 main characters, 2 recurring characters
who may be somewhat familiar (spoilers!), and a few who have the main purpose of being involved in another character's story arc and, depending on what main story we might decide on, could play minimal part in that too.)

First idea that comes to mind is that since the world is built on the idea of the planet being a nexus point for a bunch of interdimensional portals we could send the PCs through one portal or another to explore that universe and go on adventures.

That could work - the only problem would be the number of unique worlds that would need to be created and also figuring out just why
this group in particular is being sent...
...
Well, actually that second bit could make sense - I know some characters who were in the previous iteration are having some memories of it; perhaps to find answers they want to search for the place in their weird shared memories of events that supposedly never happened... Hm...

1: Well we've got three people with a moderate degree of worldbuilding experience, only one of whom who has not had anything to do with the RP yet.
2: 753 is literally the perfect scapegoat when you need to justify interdimensional shenanigans. He's basically a robotic demigod who meddles in various universes and timelines as a hobby.

1. Good point.
2. I have a character who would take issue with that, since they have immense power but specifically forbid themself from interfering with universes... I'm kind of curious as to how much they and 753 would hate each other... (this character almost certainly will show up as an
All Powerful Bystander for a little while at some point and be generally completely useless while doing so, so it would be interesting for 753 to interact with them at that time if 753 does get involved.)
(Also, yes, I have yet another extremely powerful character, oh no - however, this one is, as previously stated, absolutely rubbish because they never do anything important, and likely won't be around for long at all.)
