Hey Ehks, now that I've thought more about beyond "I have corp, let's go", me managing a Avali Nexus corp in EVE really could get more people. Here's what I have so far:
- There would be a EVE Online subforum under "Nexus General", not "Avali Nexus General", so it will be visible on the front page. If possible, managed by me.
- My personal corp would be renamed, and rebilled as "a branch of a small forum community, but is open to everyone", and would handle stuff in-game.
- The Avali Nexus Corporation would list this forum as it's home website. Combined with the subforum, this would give them reason to stay and possibly become part of the rest of the community.
Since it will not be a huge corp, it would not need it's own chat/mumble/auth server. We don't need to burden Odin more anyways.

Humanity doesn't define itself as scum to me. It defines itself as a mixed bad of stuff from a yardsale. Some of it is complete garbage, some of it is worth saving, and some stuff, despite a want to fix it, just cant be repaired. I base my judgements on science and my own particular brand of logic, so when I do research and find that we're facing an energy crisis, a potential end to the effectiveness of anti-biotics, CCD, and possibly already having set in motion a mass melting of the caps that will combined release 100 giga-tonnes of methane gases into the atmosphere, among many, many, many other things, including how stupid humanity is as a species, it just makes me so angry and frustrated that anybody with the power to fix these issues either pretend they dont exist, or act like it isnt the biggest problem we're facing. Also, see the political state of Canada. We're fucked up here, thanks to Mr. Haircut.
Humanity is pretty badass. In less than 50 years we went from motorcycle powered gliders to fully functional jet aircraft, and then in another 50 years we reached orbit.
Thousands of years ago we drove an apex predator to extinction just for our own amusement because everything else had been done already.
When barbarians destroyed civilization as we knew it it then bounced back stronger than ever.
Human individuals are shitty but as a species we are so resilient and ingenious it's hard to not admire it sometimes.

Agreed. Look at people like Isaac Newton or Albert Einstein, and suddenly science and math seem a lot cooler and fun. Or at incredible leaders, like Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr, and you feel like you can do anything. Look at the kind acts people do for each other, even on a rare occasion, and you want to go and help people. Humanity has its shining gems, and we should all aspire to be like them. But most of the people I've met are immature, rude, borderline retarded, greedy, disgusting shameful excuses for human beings. Maybe I'm no better, but I like to think that I at least hold myself to a strict moral code, and a sense of honor.

Bingo. Full exposition is that this Surge had a similar deal with the Tecarians they kinda just dump a lot of R&D duties on him and focus on other tasks but when the higher ups got wind of it they weren't cool with it. So aware that the Imperial Guard would be along shortly to execute him and destroy anything they couldn't "recapture" he created a digital copy of his mind and buried the AI core where it wouldn't be found so the Tecarians would think him dead without him actually being gone. Then the AI core was there for a long time until 753 found it and reactivated it, he then took the virtual Surge back to his own little lab and put him in the mainframe to run things while he's away. Then he made a copy of the body used by another Surge who was able to upload his mind as it were on more agreeable terms for his Surge.
Not complicated at all.
