SRSRP: Plan B.
Kind of the wrong thread but whatever.
I still don't really know what I should do for the RP. For one, Plan B™ leaves me with even less options for a character. Secondly I don't know what I could (or should) add to the conversation.

Well when the site admin starts discussing it here...
Also, I'm starting to think you just want to use RP as an excuse to play an "awesome" character. I have no idea if I'm correct, because I am not a psychic, but it's my guess. Hearing the words "less options for a character" makes me think you care more about having the perfect character than roleplaying with the universe you're given, which is
the point of roleplay.

Well some people like the more fantastical possibilities of RP.

My personal view is that part of roleplay is playing as a different role, as in the title, expressing views you may not have, thinking about things from another viewpoint, etc.
Besides, it's not like your character even has to do their job, because you'll be lightyears away from home and the commanding staff isn't cruel enough to shove you out of the airlock or leave you to die on a hostile planet.

Stop saying stuff like that, it's getting annoying.
What I actually meant was: I have two characters that I could use in the non-serious RP, that I might be able to use in the serious RP but I can not use in the Plan B RP.
I had some other ideas for characters that I also can not use in Plan B.
Making an entirely new character would take some time and I might be too lazy to do that.

Oh my god, you don't need a whole backstory for the character, and you can't because I don't plan on fleshing out the home solar system at all.
Also why are you just transplanting characters into universes?

I don't need the whole backstory but I at least want to have most of the characters personality traits finished.
Why should I not use existing characters that are already well fleshed out? If I can adapt them to fit into the new universe, they would be a lot more interesting than one I made up on the fly.
Is there anything you
don't complain about?

Oh good, they're just templates. The way you said it, it sounded like something else entirely.
Also arguing is in my blood.

WHY ARE YOU THINKING THEY ARE JUST TEMPLATES NOW?
Excuse me for shouting but seriously, are you even listening to me?
Besides, how is the way I implement my characters any of your business? I mean, as long as they follow your
very strict rules.

Only if you have certain ancestries... like a certain Scottish clan that I refuse to say because that would give away my real last name.
I'm not. But I'm also not sure if sweet, or savory.

I don't know shit about my ancestry.

Because my last few experiences with you and RP setup have given me the assumption you're a powergamer. I would love it if you passively proved me wrong, like letting me have a look at said templates, who, I am guessing, are mercenaries with tons of money to back up on.

Again, what templates?
The two characters I talked about were characters I originally made as something entirely separate before I even knew the Nexus.

Its not the warrior clan McLaughlin is it?
They still have a castle and proper colors and everything.
Not only that, but the remains of the original castle can still be found, it was blown to bits by british cannons.
How do I know about that you ask?
Lets just say, they're the neighbors of a few of my ancient ancestors.
