I just powered through both legacy of the void and deserts of kharak, it took 3 days. Kharak is a buy if on sale, it's rather lacking in longevity after you beat the campaign and I'd only offer $30 to $40 for the campaign, as stellar an experience as it is, and legacy of the void is more complicated, hour for hour each of SC2's 3 campaigns is thoroughly enjoyable and can cost you days at a time, but without achievement hunting and min/maxing you'll probably only spend one or two days playing through each, and that makes the full $60 price tag on each campaign a bit dodgy, I recommend buying at least one and pirating the rest but you may buy 2 or all 3 of them and I'd totally understand why you would.
my brother sent me his extra copy of legacy of the void from pre-ordering it two months ago. I still haven't brought myself to play it as RTS even with heros, I am bad at. The most I can do is build mods for warcraft three a bit. Wish I did though. It'd be one more thing I would be able to enjoy. And funny you should mention deserts of Kharak, steam suggested it to me, looked it through, knew it wasn't for me. Too bad none of the videos show any of the UI. RTS games have issues with that lately.

If RTS isn't your thing SC2 is basically the worst game for you, it's very demanding to play.

I know right? I tried to get him to send it to someone else, but he insisted on giving it to me because he wanted to play the game with me. Don't know why it's so hard for him to understand. I can't even turtle.

So then. Because I can ask, how's your week?
Sleepy, got nothing done because I'm still nervously waiting to hear back about my interview, and despite it being 2 weeks I am assured that such news IS coming.

how many times have you called back? Because that's usually the only way they can determine how bad you wanted it. If it's been two weeks they've probably assumed you got another job.

No no apparently they had a turbulent week and haven't reviewed any applications yet.

So. Who told you that? When? And how many times did they repeat it in the call?

Well my stepfather knows the general manager and texted him to get me to stop panicking.
YES I know that "reflects poorly on me" I was going to contact him myself but I got beaten to the punch.

Well. I do wish you well on getting the position. So I needn't dash any hopes.
I'm a janitorial worker with a cleaning company. I find it fun. What were you applying for again was it?

Interiors mechanic. It's an entry level position in aviation maintenance, very simple stuff but it'll help me work up to bigger and better jobs in the field. Job is pretty good too, it's second shift (3PM-11PM) so it suits my sleep schedule well and it's only a 30 minute commute.

Any former work or school that you were able to cite on any applications? I actually am interested. But this is probably where things start getting uncomfortable. So yeah. I'm a, science and theories guy. The mechanical portions of things? No idea. The theory and planning? I'm on it. Air flow, ballistics, etc. I'd have loved to converse upon aviation but I know little and it'd be moot.

No individual references as they required it be somebody I know for 5 years who isn't a relative, which rules out literally everyone except a few childhood friends, but I have 3 years of automotive services from high school and 3 student certifications to show for it, while not as good as a full and proper ASE certification because the student certs are graded on a curve it clearly counted for quite a lot as I would otherwise be coming in with nothing, but with the certs I can demonstrate that I have a background in mechanical work.

While it's nice to have those certifications you still arrive at the current issues of such things. Everyone's looking for experienced workers, but very few or none are actually giving positions that will let people gain the experience they want. Setting up the future for extreme failure. And making the job market nigh impossible for new workers to navigate. Especially since the experienced workforce is starting to very rapidly taper off with mass retirement of the old experienced workforce. At least you're more likely than most.
