Also spoilers if you haven't watched Doctor Who's last few seasons yet and all so yeah
Am I the only one who genuinely disliked the last two seasons? Like. I feel like it's been slowly deteriorating and this is probably my hate of change or alteration of something I like, but I feel like things are a bit... separated, things are happening just for an episode and not for the overall story or idea of the Doctor. One thing that really hacked me off, when Moffat set up that huge arc for River Song really well with the Library episodes, and then failed to deliver it. It doesn't all fit together, River's timeline is meant to move opposite to the Doctor's meaning the first time HE meets HER it's HER last time to see HIM and the first time SHE meets HIM should be the last time HE meets HER and for an overall story this could have been excellent but no, it was ruined for a few (albeit good) episodes, the penultimate meeting of River and the Doctor was Penultimate for both, I actually have an interesting idea for an episode or arc based on fixing that that could have made a better story. The Robin Hood episode is another example. Purely for some idea probably drafted up before bed they ignored a brilliant opportunity and something great in Doctor Who, the idea the Doctor can be anyone and especially considering the Doctor doesn't believe in Robin Hood it could have made a good episode and point for him to be something he doesn't believe in. And lots more like that happened throughout the last two seasons and personally I didn't find them bad, I just found them to be of a lesser quality and not a different one. I'm probably just the only person to feel this way but still. My feelings are, to quote CinemaSins and mangle it a bit, "Modern Entertainment is done more for the moment than the story."

All the fast food in this town is alongside the same divided 4 way avenue, and none of the side roads lead to any of them, so you have no choice but to fight through a U-turn further on and don't forget all these places are on the corner of an intersection with a smaller road that again, doesn't lead to them.
