Really now? Maybe I searched for the wrong thing, let me check again.

See, heaps.
My life purpose is to make life take the lemons back.  This is not a joke either.  That's literally all I exist for.  To spite all life for existing at all.  Constant depression let's you look a little deeper and find out what scares people.  Like having to take the blame for everything you do.  Or having to make your own purpose otherwise you're either ignorant or you commit suicide.  It's beautiful.  Hehehe.

On a lighter note:  There is no lighter note, only darker paths.  ;]

Nah, joking(not really),  So how is everyone?

I've studied psychology by watching people react, to the point I haven't been wrong on such things in 5 years.  It is somewhat frightening, actually.  But.  Fear tickles a bit.  So I suppress it so I don't make people uncomfortable.

I know enough that if I continued on, someone might attempt to get insulted.  Either this or I would begin to repeat myself and sound fake.

I can write in full monotone, to the point it gives people a headache if I want to.  Just look at this sentence structure, it's plain, there is no excitement within it.  How far would one be able to go?  Most won't reach : Here.

Does anyone like mind games?  I am working on ones you can play with yourself, don't need anyone else.  Only you to pull your own strings.

Just tie the sword onto your gun instead, or to the end of a wooden pole for a nice glaive.  Games have been afraid of making spears actual spears for a long time because spears are legitimately the most effective melee weapon in existence considering all stats including production costs.  Putting a bayonet on the end of a rifle turns it into a SPEAR for example.  And instead of using it like a spear.  Games always have you swinging it around.  :|

"well stabs aren't very effective, and spears can't get through advanced armor"

Stab = armor piercing.  Long pole plus stab = long range melee armor piercing.

"Stabs are easy to predict."

Tell me when you lose track of how many positions I have stabbed you from including stabbing you in the back, from the front.  Stabs are dots, swings are giant lines, how many places can I hit you in comparison?

"Spears can't get past shields"

They don't need to.  I can outrange you if you are using a shield.  Or I can use spear AND shield together.  I can also force you to keep your shield up and kick it then step out of your counter range now that my spear is past your defense, and simply gore you then let you bleed until you fall.  Or simply stab you around your shield.  Or I can just keep your shield busy and my buddy with another spear can gore you in the throat then we move on.

"What if it's two shield guys and two spear guys?"

One spear can keep both shields busy.  Shield guys are fucked.

"Well what if it's only you versus multiple targets?"

Then you force them to face you one at a time, you find an ally, or you GTFO. Same as any other set of tools of war.

I agree. Polearms in general are great IMO.
Not only do you have more range, which means you can stay a lot safer, but weapons like spears and glaives can be very light, helping with maneuverability. Heavier polearms like axes and halberds are a different case, but still have similar advantages; a longer handle not only means more range, but greater force in a swing as well due to the leverage, meaning you hit harder and cleave easier. Same can be said for glaives, but axes and halberds tend to be heavier, which means more momentum when swung.
Not to mention that polearms in general tend to look really cool when designed well.

I find that, in all honesty, I lack the necessary level of empathy to really grasp how people tick, a lot of things people say and do are just incomprehensible to me, so I just watch for patterns, like my pattern for the decline and fall of internet communities.

Also, halberds, that is all.

I think at one time I toyed with the idea of a purely ceremonial Tecarian honor guard decked out in all kinds of fancy looking stuff, and the decorative weapons for these decorative soldiers would have been alloy crafted halberds, because fuck yeah.

Everyone likes to romanticize swords, but they were very impractical. They're short range, take way more metal to make, and need training to even reasonably use, let alone to full efficiency. Most swords were shortsword sidearms anyways, and those who focused on using them exclusively were elite men who needed to show off how rich and powerful they were, which is how they got romanticized in the first place.

Compare polearms, which are long range, only need a tip of metal, and are close enough to pitchforks, shovels, and other long-handled equipment that you can easily arm farmers will minimal training, with most advanced tactics involving then being very easy to understand.

Yeah, pretty much. Swordsmanship is neat and all, but there's many weapons that outclass it.
All of which have more range.

What also is the simplest weapon in existence that will never be completely outdated?  Hammers, bludgeons, clubs.  The cheapest anti armor.  We now have "Squash-head" rounds for tanks, which are basically shooting a large hammer at them in how they work.

A wooden mallet is more effective against armor than a sword.  Swords are useless (comparatively) the moment you face armor.  Look up "half swording".  Using both hands to turn your useless sword into a really short spear/dagger.  To get through armor.

Spears and halberds are a good choice for ornamental weapons.  Because when it comes down to it, They will work better than any firearm would at close ranges.  If nothing else, you can actually grip the head of some halberds and swing the shaft instead for a much quicker hit.  Plus.  Pole-arms extend the "35 foot" rule to 45 feet.  If they are within 45 feet.  They can gut you before you are likely to even fire at them.  Bullets aren't as dangerous as knives and other melee weapons/tools, and it takes longer for someone to go down to bullets.
So my R9 came in a day early. Installing drivers for it now, it's a big bastard though, had to basically remodel my case but the HAF 912 is a masterpiece of modularity.
