A unit is sort of a sub-subject, at least in High School courses - I'm unsure if it has the same meaning in College.
So basically, at 3 units per class, if you complete that class it means you go through 3 units, and therefore pay the unit tuition 3 times...
I think?
Anyway, the *s and ^s indicate the footnotes below (sorry if this is stupid - you pointed out the *s so I'm unsure of whether or not you were unsure of what they meant - for all I know they could be something that isn't used a lot in other languages) which are basically saying the marked fees cannot be transferred if you have already paid for them and decide to switch to a different course before starting - you'd have to pay them again. The same is true if you decide to not go to college and redact your application, they keep that money if you've already paid it.
At least I'm pretty sure. Perhaps wait until someone who's actually been to college/university can tell you. Especially since I'm not even American and for all I know their colleges work very differently.
Actually. The units are used to determine what classes you take/can-take. For example. You need so many points in so and so, to be allowed to take so and so.
The price is just tacked on afterwards in an annoying "We don't care how useful this class actually is." method of finding the cost of a class. As an 8 point class that was technically useless would cost more than a 1 point class that is required. And vice versa, the 8 point would still cost more if it was required. because they just apply a flat value.
Prices are often stated for example as "24$ per unit, per hour" That one being really low for over here with 48+ being the most common. And considering this adds up to 100+$ per week for a ONE unit class using the 24$ value. Woooo.
You usually need like 52 units to graduate. And have to take 8 or more units to even go to the college in the first place. Yay 960$ per week...
You only officially gain one "unit" after you have taken it for an entire year and remained passing.
so does that mean you actually end up paying more for higher education in the US than anywhere on the world(I mean we pay by semester whicc is about per semester/(diploma* 14weeks) 3k-5k RM/just divide 4 and you'll get the answer in USD
note-*: yeas our colleges start at diploma because this stupid fucking country cant provide diploma certs at the end of highschool/17 years old and we have to waster another 3 years to get the diploma before we can get our degree
That aviation company I applied at a few months ago just called to say they have another position open and if I'm interested I could apply again.
Pardon me while I make unmanly sounds of excitement.
okay after watching the first episode of that scene that I've posted, it's kinda like Civ but with fantasy advantage to the lower civilization, but of course orge warrior, wyvern riders and dragons still fall to C4, 7.62x51mm NATO and 105mm APFSDS
Reviewing episode 2 right now...quality issues persists but are not as bad, episode 4 will be done with plays.tv as soon as I verify that it stays as good as it looks so far.

I do think I design some kickass starfighters...
I would totally check them out if I could get Space Engineers to run well on either of my computers, but alas, I think I need a gpu upgrade first... Especially since they're gonna discontinue DX9 mode. Bye bye FPS.
