No we can't. Aside from the unimaginable collateral damage of a modern nuke that would render large swathes of land uninhabitable in a region already wrought with trouble, it sets a precedent of using nuclear force that we worked hard to break during the cold war. Avoiding a nuclear winter is more important.
But what about global climate change?
We could undo the damage caused by greenhouse gases by delibrately throwing some nukes at each other in order to intentionally trigger a nuclear winter. The resulting ice age would re-set earth's climate.

I can't tell if you're joking or seriously don't understand the mechanics of a nuclear winter.
I like explaining this sort of stuff though so I'll assume the latter.
Basically nuclear winter assumes at least 100 global firestorms both natural and resulting from nuclear detonation, which means 100 infernos so massive they create a local meteorological event by sheer air pressure displacement. After this these firestorms will throw so much soot and ash into the sky that it blots out the sun, which obviously will cool the planet, but it would also cause substantial ozone depletion, with the 1-2 years of total sun blockage and black rain caused by poorly understood chemical behaviors no doubt ravaging plant life and agriculture further exacerbating global hunger, our now substantially cooled planet will also soon have to contend with solar radiation and higher temperatures than ever.
There's also the "nuclear summer" theory that states the decay of plants and animals killed by nuclear winter will cause an abnormally high injection of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere but it seems to be considered an unimportant footnote to the effects of nuclear winter.

Problem is they aren't a nation, they're spread across multiple, and there are lots of actually innocent people living in and under the tyranny of ISIS.
People are quick to come to the nuclear conclusion, despite the fact that we avoid using those now for very good reasons.
However, if the UN would get off their collective asses and pool together their nations resources and armies... Well, I imagine 50% of the world's armies descending on the relatively small area ISIS mainly inhabits from essentially every direction... Well, hostilities would be over in a month.
But alas, everyone's too scared of sending people in to fight, despite the fact that is what an army is for. Yes, people on our side would be lost. That's terrible. But it would also be essentially the end of what is quickly showing itself to be a worldwide threat.
Thank you. Someone who actually has at least a political understanding of strategy.

I still kinda liked vector thrust's lore, the nuclear weapons detonated yelded less fallout than expected and fallout cleanup was improved with modern tech. This mostly removed the taboo of using nuclear weapons though with their major superpowers still rebuilding the power vacuum caused alot of colflict and wars

Pick your fights mate, the challenger enables me to be insanely aggressive because it has so much armor, but in other tanks you need to be very careful about where you throw yourself so as not to expose yourself to unnecessary fire. You'll notice that when I first rounded that corner I didn't just keep going, because that would have exposed both my flanks, instead I backed up to assess the situation and then pushed on the right where my flank would be protected by hard cover. Aggression is important but only if you know how to apply it properly.

The Chieftan is just completely worthless, even with stillbrew your turret ring is exposed and an easy pen.

is it really that easy to aim at one's turret ring, I once tried the He in the T-72's driver hatch that didnt quite work
it's gonna be a long grind till I can get the challenger replacement, any suggestion to quick rep up from about 60%?,

I paid hold to skip the chieftain. It's that bad.
uhhh, paid what hold? you mean using global rep and gold to just but the rep bar up?
