That's the thing. MMOs want your money. They also want you to get addicted and/or play their game a lot so they get even more money.
That's why I stopped playing maplestory YEARS ago. And I really dont like the grinding aspect of a game, it just feels just like a slower pace of other paid games(and worst when a paid games that is a MMO and and leveling is just as bad as every free MMOs)

So far, this game* doesn't seem very heavy on the money aspect. You can buy stuff, yeah, including premium which gives you some extra but unnessessary features, but it is by no means shoved in your face. Heck, there's even a currency exchange where you can
trade lots of money for premium currency.
*Game is Blade and Soul. Recently released in NA and EU. Published by NCSoft. Gameplay is similar to Aeon, I guess, if anyone's played that. Good time so far, doesn't feel too grindy either. Voice acting is pretty awful. I'm mostly just skipping the story in this one.

There's your problem.

but what if it's severe and you have to stay home but without a doctor's note will be penalized for being absent for work without reason

If you're still alive enough to be on your feet, you MUST work regardless. Missing work means a cut in your pay that you probably can't afford, and some bosses will fire people who miss work 'too often'.
Only people who are allowed to stay home from work when they are sick but still functional are medical workers and food service workers.
At least that's the way it appears to work around here. Insurance or not, if you don't work you don't get paid, and you've got bills to pay.

the bigger complaint is that is it right to charge up to 50-200USD just for a medical checkup, and that was with insurance I've heard, I'm pretty sure other non third world members here dont even pay that much for a doctor's visit to the clinic, in case of third world(here) a clinic visit dont even exceed 50RM is it's just a mild skicned(fevers
forgot to add that was in private clinics, I remembered this back in primary(elementary) school that citizens will be charged nearly minimum 1RM in governmental hospital-clinic, that was more than a decade ago, things might have changed by now

I've started playing Pokken Tournament. It's really fun!
Garchomp is really fun to play, too.

Can we all just agree that capitalism is a terrible thing for the average citizen?
Quite glad we aren't that far on the scale in Canada. We wouldn't stand for losing our healthcare and (already declining) benefits.
...
Some of the people of the internet should band together, go to some unused land, and make a new country! Proportional representation, non-broken politics, laws that make sense, a government that doesn't spy on its people, laws forcing companies to give people a decent amount of time off work and pay people can at the
very least live well with, healthcare, bills for housing and services that aren't ludicrous! A country dedicated to the bettering of science, technology, and medicine - one that isn't held back by governmental selective funding, interference from corporations, etc. One where everyone is accepted so long as they in turn accept everyone else.
The amount of people in North America who want this kind of country
alone could probably band together and get it done. Add in those from the entire other 90% of the planet and you've got yourself...
[insert country name here]

Where are you going to found this country? You'll have to annex land from an established nation and instantly anger the UN.

You guys know those coke freestyle machines? They're even crazier than I thought.
They let me mix vanilla into a Sprite, which is lemon/lime Iirc. Honestly it's pretty okay, like a less sweet cream soda.
Inflammatory opinion time!
I have found that in all the world of politics, THE stupidest thing to do, is argue economics with a Republican.

get on my level, i mix cherry, raspberry, and lime into
ginger ale.
it works, oddly enough. bit strange but it works.
So this is really interesting on multiple levels, but also kinda squicky:

Coke has been pushing them on fast food joints to replace the typical soda fountains. They have a thorough stock of almost every coke product plus a few partners, and a stock of flavorings that they can mix into your drink while it's poured. So it has a kinda wonky touchscreen interface that presents all the different products by brand, and then the possible flavor combos.
They are indeed pretty awesome.

correction: they're pushing them out here in georgia. when i went to florida there were none in any location, including the college. which is odd, since my current college is smaller and is a (technically) lower quality than my next college...but the current one
has two freestyle machines in the cafeteria. only good thing about the cafeteria though lmao.
