i made a stack of square wooden boxes filed with tables chairs, and whatever i would find, such as a pixie banner or a boss trophy.

I just go above and beyond because that's my fun.
Now, if a server thing is started for everyone (if we don't just take advantage of the streamlined connecting), then I'll probably ask to have one character be an admin purely for building purposes when I'm not in the mood for normal play, and another for said normal play.
Gathering materials takes forever, and I'd rather just make things.

Was trying to do something Celion related, but the fucking paints are NOWHERE near saturated enough.

Actually forget what I just said. It should be a rectangular room and also should have a light source and a chair.
If worldgen cooperates and gives us a large enough ocean, I plan on building an underwater superdome. I might be too lazy to do it though.

Give me a few mining potions and a Shroomite Digging Claw and I'll mine for hours.
Same with most games that have mining and resource collection.

yeah but it depends on what your farming in this case, and still if you set your mind to it, it shouldn't be too bad.

I believe that the planning and construction of such farms actually is part of engineering too.

I didn't mean farming as in planting plants.
I meant farming as in trying to get rare drops.
