he's not dying if he was he'd be dead by now, and it doesn't need to be prepared you can just open the package and eat them.

The reflection is blown back by a blast of unknown energy. The wisps have disappeared, a grey one with a pinkish-purple corona taking their place. A crystal floats in midair on either side of it.
The one on its right side is of a pure, lightless black, with perfect square particles of the same color emanating from it. Staring at it gives a feeling of dread.
The crystal on its left is a luminous white, not emitting any light yet completely blank; much like the void that the world was before it was terraformed.
