The rules regarding character death got defined precisely because of Marxon and Penguin killing their characters constantly. If this was a serious RP, revival would not even be open for consideration. Characters who die are dead, removed from game. I thought that was too strict, so I suggested a limited means of revival that would fit the nature of the world, and with a bit of discussion a complete solution based around it came to be that so far has worked quite well to allow characters to make heroic sacrafices for one another while still allowing characters who should be removed from the game to be killed for good. Marxon unfortunately wrote his character into the dead for good condition, and given how he dies all the time and is warned every single time it happens that there's a chance he might not come back, he was fairly warned of the consequences yet did it anyway in a fit of madness. When you were arguing with us about it last night the RP was continuing to build events in the sequence that resulted from the crystal being unrecoverable. The longer that chain of events got, the harder it would be to retcon. Basically, if you had accepted that you messed up and been willing to talk it over calmly and find a solution, it would have been possible to retcon the damaged crystal right away and cheat death once more. But because you felt a need to fight it and throw a tantrum over it both in-character and out of character, several pages of RP got written containing references to Marxon's death that would now have to be rewritten. Such would confuse people trying to continue the RP, so a retcon is probably not likely to happen at this point. I mean, he really did everything he could to make sure his crystal was unrecoverable.
