Don't forget about unlicensed dealers and unmarked weapons developement by small or unfunded groups that have the know-how. Un-tracable weaponry used in things like assassination are often run through/built by such groups. Alternately scrap and refurbished weapons.

This. War changes, but capitalism doesn't!

Saying what's going to be happening would be spoilery, but it is meant to pull characters towards it before the major plot point goes down, so you can have your fun characters, rather than just being limited to people who would already be there.

Also, expect the Forerunner (previously the Qua'ada) plot to be completely reworked so everything's a mystery again.
First minor spoiler: The Precursors are no longer a thing. Sorry, Ehks.

What are you saying! War never changes! Ron Perlman wouldn't lie to us!

RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Lost Rinoah - 09-12-2015

War is never the same. One second to the next. In world War 1 you respected your enemy. In world war 2 you just shot them.

Easiest case in point doh. :U

Yes I know you weren't being serious. I'll just roll with anything. Supper srs.

Giving you a god character was silly, and it means I can flesh out the Forerunners more, who actually mattered in the long run, and didn't sit in Andromeda waiting for the Republic portal to open...

And being a 20-year-old who was raised to be a ruthless assassin from 7 years old, resulting in some mental problems and augmented arms!

If you think about it, Sirius is kinda fucked up.

Ooooh.  John Does are my specialty in taking down.  They also make for a good dinner guest.   Their insecurity is easily brought forefront as a paramount fact.  They have trouble with creativity.  ^-^

I like making extravagant and exotic names.

Janna'sho-Ha, Tala'Roshahan [ya-nay-SO-ha, tal-ah-ROSH-a-hon]

Simplified name: Johnny Sho. (mishearing of Janna'sho-Ha)

Dat name doh. Ahaha.

Well, as far as mental problems go, it's just childhood trauma (his parents were sniped in his presence) and an unwillingness to ask for anything/fear of rejection.

...Wait, the name you made or Sirius' name?

RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Lost Rinoah - 09-13-2015

Mine.  Sirius is egyptian like Aster, Asterian, and the primary spelling Cyrus.

Childhood trauma is what usually determines if you are the one who goes around murdering in the streets or hide in your room day by day.  :U

There's never been only one way people turn out after traumatic events.  Just take me for example.  I almost drowned twenty times as a kid thanks to other people and had to get stabbed with needles 9 times when I was only three.  I think I turned out all right.  I mean.  I fricking love water.  *Sips at a glass of water with teeth floating at the bottom of it, roots still visibly attached and floating about with them*

Ah. I just took his name from a character in a graphic novel/2 music albums. I'm having trouble with a last name.

The origins of his first name fit really well with the character, though- I found out that a couple of songs from the band almost perfectly described him/his life.

Last name: Black! Waitno.

Why not zoidburg?

I mean, Sam.

I mean, Denedris.  (den-eh-dree)

Could talk names and come up with prefixes to help you but I don't want to overflow this thread with it. Though I'll wish you luck.

Suggestions would be nice, actually. Just not a pageful.
I'm kind of liking Denedris.

RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Umbra - 09-14-2015

I think I might go with Davenport. Not only is it the last name of one of my favorite Assassin's Creed characters, but it's not a common name and goes well with the first. Also hints at some character inspiration.
No, it's not Connor. He's stupid.
