Is it possible to create a non-cloth mask (y'know, metal or something) that one can see clearly out of, yet others can't see in? If not, would it be possible to use cameras built into it to see out? Could said cameras give other applications such as NV or IR? Is it possible to fit some kind of voice changer in said mask? Basically asking if Sirius' mask is even possible. One way metals do not exist, but cameras are so small now it's not like it matters. And if the mask is thick enough, voice changer is totally possible. I'd also like an update on Aug tech if you've thought about changing it. Roughly 2-3 cm, depending on who you bought the modulator from. Augments are nerfed. Augmentations rely on nerves to send and receive input, so you can't have a third limb, due to the impossible requirements: the brain can only use nerve connections it's wired to use, so it would need modification of the brain. Right now, no species completely understand the brain (not even humans), so having nerve-controlled weapons is considered fantasy. However, you can make a part instead be controlled by already--used nerves, like a hidden blade activated by flicking the wrist. Hell, you don't even need an augment to do this, you could just have a hidden blade connected right to a normal arm, because why not. As tempting as that is, I think I'm already pushing the limits on Sirius' references. He kills people with a sword in a hooded coat, for [INSERT RP-RELEVANT GOD]'s sake! His last name is even Davenport! Haha as stated before he reminds me of Corvo too, so that [RP-RELEVANT GOD] could be The Visitor, a character I made taking inspiration from The Outsider! Well The Outsider has nothing to do with Corvo's past and he doesn't so much guide as watch and be mildly amused. So don't worry it's not that close. By the way, did you know there's hidden guns other than Arno's phantom blade? yes i know that's a hidden crossbow shaddap RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Shaadaris - 09-24-2015 (09-24-2015, 10:51 PM)Umbra Wrote:(09-24-2015, 10:48 PM)Shaadaris Wrote: Well The Outsider has nothing to do with Corvo's past and he doesn't so much guide as watch and be mildly amused. I have so many to catch up on... Agh...) RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Umbra - 09-24-2015 (09-24-2015, 10:55 PM)Shaadaris Wrote: Who the hell is Arno? He's the one from Unity. I feel like I should add something on-topic... Umm... I can't think of any ideas right now. Here's an idea to keep this thread active: On the Fly Races A few basic details of a race are presented and everyone works together to try to make a cohesive race for the RP universe out of it. Yes my ideas are terrible I know. RE: Nexus "Serious" RP Revival Discussion - Lost Rinoah - 09-25-2015 The dangers of neural jacks. >They over-write your natural impulses as computer inputs. Either requiring a limited number of inputs or someone else to pull you out else you get stuck in there paralyzed. Otherwise it'd still technically work, with your nervous impulses working (essentially) like a keyboard interface or similiar. While jacked in. This is technically how they work in fictions including things like shadowrun. IF you train enough you can put in a rapid order of commands in a split moment and unplug again near instantly. But you are still severely limited with such things. Yay neural degradation. In any case. That's my ditty of research for tonight. To be or not to be. They still work, it's just that mind-to-machine is limited by the number of unique nerves you have. As a result, neural jacks no longer support transformation AR. Most jacks have extensions to optical nerves, if you're wondering. Slightly invasive, totally works. This also means mechs that use jacks have to be humanoid instead of something sensible. They will just be limited to the amount of control inputs they can have. It would also requite a lot of training to learn how to properly pilot them.(09-25-2015, 04:19 AM)Corosar Wrote: wait a minute.... does that include the removal of neural jacks? or will they work differently.. |
