My guess is you accidentally hit a guard or civilian, which in the province of Skyrim means DEATH SENTANCE!
Except that you do know if your crime is small you can sheath your weapon and they'll just do a normal arrest, ya? Killing anyone was unnessessary and you could have just paid off the probably ~40 septim bounty you got.

okay, After my 4th playthrough(3rd stealth ninja assassin) I played through the would game bad karma, stolen, pickpocketed and murdered (almost)everything and set off Archimedes defences, and after hooverdam I get the good karma ending with mr house.....welp, now I'm ready for fallout 4, there's no end game I've heard
