Seriously, if the graphics engine is just a better version of Skyrim, why does it need at least double the VRam?
Inb4 the game is just terribly optimized and we'll get patches that will make it playable on lower-end PCs in a year, like with every other Bethesda game.
Still stupid though. Hopefully someone will make mods to downsize the textures to vanilla Skyrim size or something.
Well aren't the min. system requirements usually talking about at lowest possible settings wherein the game will look terrible? If 2048 is the absolute minimum, and I have half that, I don't think it'll matter what settings I use, it'll be choppy and awful.

and the best part, I've used up all my allowance to get the game thanks to horrible exchange rates, it's not until next year or two of not using my allowance on something useless like food so i can get a decent graphics card, assuming this case's power button didnt fail me, also exactly 8GB RAM doesnt seemed feasible either.
