You know the Halo games always portrayed the UNSC as being horribly equipped. Not even relative to what they were facing, their gear was just shit period.

They were equipped to fight an insurrection, not highly advanced and genocidal aliens.

Even the Spartans weren't originally intended for fighting the Covenant; it just so happened that they were the best line of defense against it.

But even then it makes no sense how they INSIST on using such awful stuff like the warthog everywhere. The Warthog only works as a scout car or FAV, only, but they use it as the main means of mechanization, they have no APC but they have an MBT, they Elephant is perfectly suited for extended and isolated operation, not what you'd expect against guerrilla fighters. The UNSC inventory just seems to be poorly planned out on a large level and not just for fighting the covenant.

THEY COULD'VE USE THE RESOURCES TO BLOCK ISIS PROPAGANDA* RATHER THAN WASTING ON THIS!!!
they better not touch e621

note*: there are a number of malays being recruited to fight in ISIS territory and even attempted chaos here, good thing the PDRM is well equipped for these kind of "insurrection"

OH MY GOD, KSP IS UPDATED TO 1.0.5, ahhhhhhhh tooo much games to play at the same time!!!!

Yeah, the UNSC is also, in a twist from most games, actually UN.
But uhh, the UNSC was more meant for managing colonies and quelling insurrection, heck, even the SPARTANS were made for that purpose, Reach was only well equipped because if insurrection occurred they were fucked.
Same with the Covenant actually...
Have you seen their first scarabs?

Actually the Warthog is only designed as a scout vehicle.
It was refitted for combat and it's easier to mount, say a gauss cannon on the back than a humvee.
But I do agree,
Though there is a large portion of non-game halo tech n' shit.

Yeah but you'd think at some point somebody would bolt some armored doors to it.

Same with the scorpion, the drivers canopy is very, very heavily undefended.

But, back to my point, you can point out all these flaws in covenant vehicle's too.

Most tanks fail without infantry support anyways, the driver's hatch is an acceptable weakness.

Hornets work as scouts as light gunships. I wouldn't trust heavy combat to anything lighter than a Hawk.

It's a shame none of the first person games let us pilot those sexy beasts.

RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - Shaadaris - 11-10-2015

Blegh, so apparently my computer is now having random periods of bullet-time.
By that, I mean everything at once, internet or not internet, will slow to an absolute crawl, folders take full minutes to load, google won't appear, switching pages on Steam will do nothing, etc. The worst part is, upon checking task manager, my CPU, RAM, and Disk usage are all minimal.
What the hell is causing this.
Luckily restarting fixes it... Except that it also gets stuck restarting it's so slow, so much that I had to manually shut off after it was shutting down for about 2 minutes.

Hoorah, another thing to stress about after my wisdom teeth surgery tomorrow morning.

Speaking of which, wish me luck and no pain. I really hope I'm one of the cases where it barely or flat out doesn't hurt afterwards, medicine or no medicine.
May or may not be around much tomorrow, depending on how terrible I feel while the coma-in-a-can is wearing off.
So yeah, fun day ahead. Maybe if I feel good enough and my parents have money I can get Fallout 4 and have something to distract me... Except that I'll be at my Dad's and have to use my Laptop, which, if it can even run Fallout 4, much less without it being a slideshow, I give up, and the computer wins.

Potentially GPU or PSU is on the way out (or if your power draw becomes to intense - my PSU is barely capable of sustaining my GPU atm so if I try to overclock it I get massive instability). Could also be caused by overheating - is your cooling adequate?

Faulty RAM can also be responsible for that kind of thing. In general, erratic errors with no rhyme or reason are typically linked to hardware issues, especially when it causes things like stuttering, graphical glitches, freezing and so on.
