I feel your pain. My brother likes to barge in uninvited and watch whatever I happen to be doing. I usually just have to say "why are you in here?" and he'll leave, though.

Do you mean when you try mapping them to a function in a game or something using their controls menus?
Because many programs only have immediate support for Mouse1 -> Mouse4 or Mouse5, the others are rarely able to be mapped that way, so the best bet is to map it to a key you never use, then map that key to the button using the software... Unless that isn't what you mean, in which case I dunno how to help.

Well I've got G6 here mapped to correspond with 1, so then I start up wildstar, press 1, it performs a basic attack. okay. press G6...nothing.

Do you have it set to a Wildstar profile if you're using Detect Game mode? Also, make sure you aren't exiting the software if you do, and make sure the correct EXE is linked to the profile - it could be detecting the launcher and not the game or something.
Other than that, no idea.
