RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - SCN-3_NULL - 01-19-2016 well this is something new....... RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - OdinYggd - 01-19-2016 It's supposed to do that. I'm pretty sure you shouldnt put any form of yaw control on the ailerons RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - Reks - 01-19-2016 Okay, so CF finally got back to me about the Solarium Donor tier reward And I've spent a few hours thinking on my weapon design. What do you guys think? Should I fancify it a bit more before sending it in? A power-armor Celion will carry it 'heavy' style. And it's more for looks than for perfect 'sense'. The barrel side LOOKS heavy, but is primarily made of the fungal 'metal', which isn't very dense. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - SCN-3_NULL - 01-19-2016 (01-19-2016, 04:07 PM)Reks Wrote:well if it's over the shoulder then I guess the shoulder is rested on the rear handle/grip/stock(?) protrusion, the one labeled with a question mark(also why the trigger pull label is on the front protrusion?). If that's the case it would be rather difficult to keep aim and pull the trigger.(01-19-2016, 04:01 PM)SCN-3_NULL Wrote: a bit blocky on the barrel side especially the supports compared to the round/curvy-alien body, might recommend not having those to keep the alien like round shape/curves, also is it suppose to be small arms(rifles) or heavy(over hip like minigun/over shoulder like MANPADs or ATGM) If used by a celion I guess most of the configuration(trigger and grip) is like what you've planned on the top line/vector sketch. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - Surge - 01-19-2016 disregarding the ammo feed complications of a gatling gun built around a small cannon I don't think any individual humanoid could carry enough ammo for a weapon like that. It's very difficult to cram 1k+ rounds of ammunition inside a humanoid frame in a single continuous belt, you could probably do that in a backpack like null has here but that doesn't cover the 40 at all which if it's an autocannon will need it's own ammo pack too. This is why the Ares and Vulcan both use single-barrel weapons.(01-19-2016, 08:35 PM)Surge Wrote: No you misunderstand, a man can carry a fair amount of ammo for various heavy weapons but a minigun needs nearly 4x as much ammo as any comparable weapon because of how fast it will chew through it, it also all needs to be in ridiculously long belts for the same reason which further complicates having more than one. They're robots, they just need an internal storage compartment. And you're right, they dont. Most Commando Eltes have their ammo carried on hip mounted ammo box instead while the back carries the larger cannon ammo no to mention they use single barrel gas operated MG. Wolf on the hand have variable RoF so it can be adjusted for ammo conservation or high fire power. Edit: |
