I really hate games that literally make it physically impossible to win as a way of upping difficulty.
Yes I like my games hard, though it really, really pisses me off when they just, instead of making them smarter and more strategically intelligent, they just give them the highest tier of tech to start off with and let you, who's barely got the first combat based unit to die with an unnecessarily over-powered, stupid and hostile AI with bumfuck all chance of success.
