Most if not all of it's weapons were out of action, it's engines were failing, it's armor stripped, and it's superstructure failing, but even a single LAG coming back online and shooting that frigate would have crippled it instantly.(10-11-2015, 04:28 AM)Surge Wrote: There is stupid, there is reckless, then there is shutting down shields and weapons to vent while hugging the broadside of a battlecruiser, all in a frigate so fragile a single volley of anti-fighter missiles can rip it in half.I have an odd that that actually worked out... RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - Reks - 10-11-2015 Have a random sketchdump that started as anatomy practice and turned into doodling And then a wip of Celarra's more mangrove-like layers RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - UnamusedAvali - 10-11-2015 Fuck wolf classes, fuck Hermes class and fuck lashers. I killed the Hermes and then two Lashers sent 4 installments of swarmers into my Wolf's engines, then the enemy Wolf came at my disabled, drifting and heavily damaged ship and fires a mining laser burst into my engines. I watched a let's play of it and it looked fun. What does it pretend to be, then? I'd say it is more than just aware of what it is, content and story doesen't hint at anything but self awareness from the development side. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread 3: A crowd. - Battle Bee - 10-11-2015 Self-advertisement, ho! I helped make this mod! ...Well, not really. I just allowed them to use my ideas for new weapons but still, it's a great mod so check it out and stuff! http://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/ulterraria-reborn.20532/ The 1.1 version is coming soon. It doesn't though? It may have a lot of self-referential humour and 'meta' elements but it never really implies at any point that the agency of the characters extends beyond the context of the game (i.e impacts reality). Or to put it another way - it never acts like the reality of the game isn't distinct from actual reality. It's not reality, and it knows it's not- but that still doesn't make way for psychopatic behaviour, just because the genre lends itself to "fighting monsters and gaining exp". It's more interesting that it actually does something with a concept, that nobody seems to really touch on, and that doesn't at all make it realistic, just another form of game. Although, I must say that the method that was used is rather genius.
