Note: Aerogel can be made in any color and is mostly opaque if more than 4 inches thick.

Also worth noting that while it shatters like glass, does not make it weak as glass, it's more like porous, crystalline bronze.

Is there a way to crop out a chunk of an image based on the resolution of that chunk? I need to crop a 1920x1080 area out of a 3440x1440 image

You could do it by setting the canvas size the what you need.

Actually I found out that Windows didn't resize it to 1920x1080 it resized it to the largest size that fit the monitor's aspect ratio, no idea what that is, and then lowered the image quality to fit the resolution.

A 1920x1080 crop would be around half of what I've got as my wallpaper.
