The effects only last briefly before purple flashing lights at regular intervals in the corridor are activated. Because of the uniquely mixed races that are served by this hospital and others like it on Nexus17 and Eden, it was outfitted with a psionic surpression system in order to protect the hospital staff should a race capable of psionic abilities lose control of themselves during treatment.

It only takes a moment for the field to reach full strength, negating the attack completely and surpressing further attacks.

Danu glows visibly while the field energizes, a smile still on her face. It was as if it had affected her differently, in a way that made her pleasant. "Is it necessary for you to fight us? This hospital is built to help people, if you need help somehow there's enough people here that someone will probably know how to get what you seek."

The Guard notices the suppression field. "Did he just try to use some sort of mind magic?"

It's an... Odd house, that's for sure. It isn't built anything like the other houses, and resembles a mix between a cabin in the woods and a beach house. It appears to have only one room and two stories.
