Yo. I make videos. - YDH - 11-26-2015

Hey there. I'm YellowDemonHurlr: college student, let's player, and creator of the machinima Starbound: The Monsters Below. It has Avali in it, so I figured this would be the place to share it, get feedback, and get corrections for the minutae of the lore that I will inevitably get wrong.

Yes, welcome! Don't let the madness scare you off, we don't bite (well I mean unless you're tasty... or we're hungry... or bored... or...)
As for the lore, well... I'm not sure what to say about that since Ryuu has mentioned quite a few times he intends to redo the Avali lore from the ground up, though I dunno when or if he's going to do that and I doubt it will be reflected in Starbound due to his waning interest in it.

I've never heard of a Starbound Machinima, and actually never seen a Machinima, so I may have to check that out :3

Yes, I've spoken with Ryuujin and I know there's an upcoming lore revamp, although "from the ground up" suggests a bigger scale than I had realized. Regardless, that can fall where it may--I'm perfectly happy to depart from canon if I need to. I'm making up a whole lotta stuff anyway and even discarding some aspects of the canon lore (the simultaneous conversations bit, for instance. It would be unintelligible for human audiences). In other words, I'm happy to intentionally get things wrong. It's the unintentional slips I want to know about.
