It's funny to me how seriously they seem to take what is, from a modern perspective, laughably antiquated technology. I'm sure the game itself will be thoroughly untrue to how the war played out, because the war played out at a snail's pace, which is part of why it's so hilarious seeing them trying to be so dramatic with all this equipment that barely worked.

I think this is one of those times when too much realism would make it stop being a fun game.
If your super-slow weapon constantly breaks and jams and most of the game you are sitting in a trench... It's not going to be great.
Verdun looks like a fun game, and you actually start in a trench ad charging single man is just suicidal

For those who haven't seen it yet here is what the new Skyrim will look like compared to the old one. No actual texture improvements but the atmosphere changes are pleasantly noticeable.

From what I've read the textures have actually been made better, although it might just be that they made the Highres DLC part of the base game.
I still can't believe this is happening. It seems redundant, somehow, but at least PCers are allegedly getting it free.

I haven't seen any texture improves in the released screenshots, so I'm skeptical of that.
Also I though PC players were only getting the old DLC carried over if they already owned the original?
edit: just checked /r/skyrim, Bethesda does indeed claim that owning Skyrim legendary qualifies you for a free upgrade

*Upgrade: It's been clarified it's a seperate game. Your Skyrim will not transform into the new version, it is a seperate install.
I am happy for this, because something tells me mods will need some updating for the new one... And also I'm unsure if my computers could handle the new one.

On another topic, I am genuinely hyped for Halo Wars 2.

I feel like artillery is going to shake up the gameplay in unpleasant ways but it otherwise looks to be a very faithful sequel.

And then I don't know what I just watched but it was hilarious.

I really think that the roleplay has gotten horribly stale.

Also local news is obsessing over their new "Emoji Man" and it's just so damn annoying.

Existential dread is one of the worst feelings...
Thanatophobia is one of the other worst feelings...
Why in the names of whatever deities may or may not exist did I watch videos on existentialism and death philosophy before bed?
ARGGHHHHH!

Hahaha.

Good question

today's local news headline:
"As world grieves over Orlando shooting, some Malaysians welcome killings"
this place is filled with heretics

don't.
wait until the 17th to donate blood, since so much has been given and blood has a limited shelf life. if you give it now, chances are it won't be used before it has to be disposed of.

But the local courthouse is doing an organized event TODAY.

Also I heard Likeshine is trying to encourage the furry community to help too.

Taking a very unpopular stance here, but I think people are making this way bigger than it needs to be.

So it turns out, at least according to the news this morning, that the shooter was in fact a regular visitor of the club in question.

And as much as people have speculated that this was the work of the 'god hates fags' sort of camp, or some sort of terrorist attack, it sounds to me like it really was just some guy that snapped and blew away everyone he didn't like.

You see all these people?

Fuck em. All of them. Straight to hell.

Simple as that.

The interesting thing about it though is because it touches on no less than 3 hotlist topics in one event, it has almost completely parlayzed the internet's ability to have any sort of sensible discussion about it. It inevitably derails into one of those 3 hotlist topics, and ends when the moderators say okay enough.

Oh god not Westboro...

The hype is partly from the guy's impressive kill count, then again there are few more target rich environments than a nightclub.

Is there any alternate way to contact you other than here?
