RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - SCN-3_NULL - 06-24-2016 this is interesting got into a debate with someone that actually thinks it's good for the UK to leave the EU But first a question, did the EU have strict regulations that chokes small businesses as well as hurting buisnesses that did trading with countries across the world with these regualtions that benefited only large greedy corporations in the EU that did not want to have competitionand and adapt. Also did the EU passed a law that in which the people have no say in, only rich bureacrats that reap the benefits from these laws while the common person suffers. I'm not sure about it but how to comment on that as I'm no part EU and all federation of malaysia RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-24-2016 (06-24-2016, 05:01 PM)SCN-3_NULL Wrote: this is interesting got into a debate with someone that actually thinks it's good for the UK to leave the EUThe EU exists largely to promote trade and travel amongst member nations. More importantly though the UK has historically always been kind of uncooperative with the EU, retaining the pound instead of adopting the euro for instance, so it's not as if the EU can actually force anything on members. Any regulative issues the UK has were just a product of dealing with bone headed protectionists I imagine, and leaving the EU will arguably only make dealing with them harder. The UK has bigger fish to fry than economic consequences though, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and even Gibraltar were all VERY against leaving the EU as all of them benefited from it quite dramatically, and by dragging them out of the EU England has soured internal politics in the UK and some are saying that more independence referendums are inevitable. I will admit however that my outside perspective may be misguided or even flat out wrong, but I don't have time to research the matter right now. I hate it, and I've been posting almost nonstop in the comments thread of that dev post since it came out, trying to get it replaced with my idea, which I revived from the depths of 2015 for that sole purpose. The dogs? Yus! Dawgs! But yeah, I check the Starbound Blog almost daily so I can see their progress. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-24-2016 Anybody else see that scientists suspect they have found evidence of primordial black holes. In other words they think it could be big for our understanding of what dark matter is thanks to the implications of a black hole that predates any known stars. You're really bad at puzzles, aren't you. I missed ONE K and you can't understand it? RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Shaadaris - 06-25-2016 Welp. The decision to split the UK from the EU was split not just among the borders of the UK's countries, but also by age. The elderly overwhelmingly voted to leave. The young overwhelmingly voted to stay. And the young are the ones who will mostly be dealing with the consequences, naturally. Alas, I thought the previous generations had just about finished messing up the newer ones. Edit: And of course Trump supported Britain's decision. That's an obvious sign you've made a mistake, when Trump agrees. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-25-2016 (06-25-2016, 12:47 AM)Shaadaris Wrote: Welp. That part I can actually understand, in a way: The ultimate "welp, I'm outta here." Of course he doesn't want his name all over what could spell the breakup of the UK and a potential collapse of their economy, especially since he's basically required to sign the deal regardless of his thoughts on it. That said, I do feel very sorry for the next PM... It's a lose-lose either way, really. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Rahizel - 06-25-2016 I have an... Interesting idea. It involves actually forging metals, using the Sun. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Ehksidian - 06-25-2016 i had a brief dream of modding jakkai into stardew valley that dream was crushed when i realized i couldn't expand the area hairstyles had, meaning i couldn't do the ears. rip RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-25-2016 So TIL that Scotland is the second largest economy in the UK, has the 4th most valuable currency in the world (Pound Stirling), the 3rd largest reserve currency in the world, and is an industrial hub for the continent. So England REALLY fucked itself here. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-25-2016 "hey DM are we playing tomorrow?" "yeah but it's a new campaign so you need a new character, remember we talked about the theme?" maybe...maybe I'll just sit this one out? RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Surge - 06-25-2016 My DM wants to start a new campaign, except we all have to make religious characters. At first I wanted to make a really obnoxiously evangelist bard of the god of music, but there is only a god of song and poetry and I refuse to involve poetry in my shenanigans. Then I decided to just be an asshole and pick something that lets me roll Eldritch Knight and smite motherfuckers, but I don't wanna run a CE character, especially one who will be kind of obligated to just be a murderhobo. RE: Avali Nexus Forum Thread: 4 Score and Several Threads Ago... - Lost Rinoah - 06-25-2016 gods are fickle. And may enjoy trolls of their own religion for the sake of testing others in the same. This lets you run loopholes for some gods and piss off all the other members while remaining at the heart loyal as you test to see who the truest believers are... No I do not have personal experience why would you ask that. |
