I already usually enjoy the visuals of Neil Blomkampf's films but plot wise this couldn't have been more relevant to my interests.
I just thought it dealt with the subject matter was dealt with in the most bland, predictable way possible (stuff anyone who says Chappie was 'thought provoking'). Die Antwoord is a bad actor, and so much of the movie was spent following him I feel like it was almost more about him than, y'know, the actual robot.
I dunno, it's not terrible and it's still worth watching but I didn't really walk away thinking it was praise-worthy.
