They can probably find a grey area or two where no one really knows how one thing might translate into another or use things like "I'm falling from a cliff and use the tiny amounts of heat generated from the air friction and impact to throw a fireball!" Sort of stuff. (Though they might break their legs in this case) and what if two buffers are used in such a scenario? One to fiddle with the tiny amounts of heat generated and one to fiddle with the kinetic energy?
