The best pesticide smoke I've ever used was the fumes generated by soaking worn out old work boots in gasoline and setting them on fire.
Cleared out every single living thing except plant life for 200 yards downwind of the fire bin I did this in. I've heard rumored from a few sources that such a blaze will even exterminate stubborn ghosts, but I've yet to confirm this and the ghost on the property at the time I tried it was not downwind of me.
