absolutely critical was the really bad call I made, all flanking shots are now instant crits, does NOT work in my favor when none of my men have any HP buffer.
You think normal X-COM is hard? Try Long War. Holy shit, that mod is just plain unfair. Enemies now have more health, greater movement distance, can steal Meld, and use Psionics from the get-go. Also, Overseers now have perm-regen, and there are now flying drones that are literally impossible to hit with anything other than a shotgun.
But it adds different types of MECs with different specializations, rewards proper tetrising more dramatically, allows incoming damage to be totally negated, doubles the number of classes, and increases squad size.
