Wouldn't the person that shot the deer be able to take care of the meat themselves?
Or are the hunters over there "Just shooters"..?
Over here the training for taking care of the meat from the different animals properly and making clean killing shots really is the biggest part of getting your huntsmans licence,
And "decay" is a bit of a funny concept with game meat, as you'll want to hang it for little more than a week in a room with a closely managed temperature to get the best tenderness. ow o
