I think everyone wants to think that they have something really unique and special about them but you have to remember not to underestimate how much control your brain has over your body, it's entirely possible for your brain to make you think that something is wearing you out or that something really is in your way simply if you want it to bad enough. Does this mean any of us can actually influence reality with sheer willpower? no. It does mean that we can fool ourselves into thinking so with it though. The ends you can push your brain to with simply willpower is astounding, if you want something to be bad enough naturally your brain is going to try and make it so, and that leads to a lot of the nonsense we hear about like what you're describing here.
This, it's very easy to condition yourself into believing things like that - it's the basis for phenomena like tulpae.
Also, see things like hypochondriasis.
yup, I don't like to go around advertising my mental anomalies and such because I realize that they're bunk, but I see some value in internally humoring them.
