Previously...
One of the robed figures suddenly flies out of a ravine... somewhere. The desert air is dry and she covers her eyes as the sun shines in them for the first time in a long time, before realizing with horror that she's been launched into the air. She flails around for a moment before being caught midair by a man with dark skin and shoulder-length curly black hair, with a goatee to top it all off. His eyes are a darker shade than his skin, and he wears a black, collared shirt and a white necktie that glows in the sun, along with a heavy-looking brown coat that goes down to his ankles and a matching tall but floppy conical witchlike hat.
Got you.
Yultehgen!
*He falls to the ground, landing with a thud, and puts the girl on the ground*
I was starting to think you'd never follow us.
Oh come on, it didn't take me that long.
...
We arrived a week ago.
Wha-?
I've been keeping watch from that town in the distance.
*He points to a large, walled city shadowed partially by the sun*
I was ready to move on but Kalykne insisted we stay.
Come on, let's walk back. The heat isn't too bad right now and I'm sure you miss the sun.
...
A WEEK? I followed you a few seconds after you left!
You have a lot of explaining to do magic man!
...But thanks for saving me...
And staying.
