It can easily been inferred that this, pulse... is human in origin. Instead of appropriating the monitor and audio feeds directly, it CHOOSES to manifest as a visual avatar on part of the screen, and generates a pseudo physical environment and uses it to hide behind display elements, and emulates complex emotion
One could make the claim that it is aesthetically pleasing but at the same time it is confoundingly inefficient and extremely questionable. It's possibly why it asks to allocate so much memory space, exorbitant amounts of superfluous coding.
