The whole "yes there are magic" but "magic is limit" is nice, and I especially like the psyches as a concept. I think sort of A would be better for space travel - perhaps personal ships can move around solar systems easy, but interstellar travel is more limited to public services and larger, more expensive ships. Intersector travel at a reasonably fast speed should be much more limited. This is also a good way to make sure people stay near eachother.I too like idea A. I maystealintegrate that one.
EDIT: Here's the thing, Gonzo, you have a lot of good ideas, but you're tossing them all into the soup, and looking deeper into this (no formatting makes it hard to read/know where I'm reading) you have a few ideas that don't have too much difference from Nexus. The Qua'ada and Precursor practically had magic, but literally nothing happened with void energy at all even though it was free magic and yes I should have been more clear with it but no-one asked. Yes, I should probably should not limit the universe to the periodic table.
But Gonzo. If you want a D&D game, don't try to hijack some else's RP to do it.
Here's the thing: it's not "someone else's" RP.
It is not your RP.
It is the Nexus' RP.
It is the community's. Yes, you made the original universe, and you were the GM/DM/whatever of it.
What he's suggesting is a new RP, hence "reset" instead of "reboot". Heck, who's to say we can't have more RPs?
We already had both the SRS BSNSS and
If you really want it to be a contest between your two RP ideas, then how about you let him make his RP, and you make your RP, and see which is more popular?
While not a lot of ideas are different, not a lot are the same either. He hasn't even gone into the lore/main-universe-mechanics yet, which is arguably the biggest and most daunting thing about your RP. Also if you looked at his original post, outside of the quote-chain, you'd see that there is in fact formatting.
