AAAAAAaaaaaa darnit!
In transfering my Fallout: New Vegas install to my laptop so I could play it while away, nothing new here, I apparently somehow managed to break my install despite everything being literally exactly the same as it was before.
Whenever I enter my Mobile Truck Base (player home mod w/ all my stuff in it) I either instantly crash or everything is pitch black and trying to move around causes it to lag until it crashes, even though I can apparently still interact with things, which just makes the problem all the more bizzare. I've done this same thing before and it worked fine... Bleeeh.
Guess I'm not playing FNV today or tomorrow.
After months of patch support.

Give Bethesda a break. Yes, their games are buggy at launch, but they're also wide open worlds with a lot of variables, scripts, ai/pathfinding/stat/etc. calculations, and a ton of physics. While yes, more bugtesting should be done, in games like these you can't account for every single possibility until you give it to actual players. Besides, they're usually pretty good at patching. The last patches of FNV and Skyrim are pretty much crashless unless you mod them, in which case it's partially the modders' fault a lot of the time.
