And that's a huge problem.
I won't compare the two, but I'll use Terraria as an example. I've played it over, and over, and over, kinda like the old character resets... Except I'd do so happily.
Something about the way Terraria is paced, or how things feel fair and not very grindy at first, or the simple joy of finding chests and ore... All that needs to be said is:
If I have over 1000 hours in Terraria, and I would eagerly replay it over and over, then it did something right, where Starbound hasn't (in that respect. Argue how good it is now(?) all you want, but if I don't feel the drive to play it, the new stuff doesn't matter much).
Terraria opinions
Starbound opinions
Don't get me wrong I still like Terraria, but I am more focused on seeing where Starbound will go since it can have the potential to do a lot of things (and it is still in beta). I don't like how unfair people are to Starbound because they like Terraria more... Remember Terraria is a complete game with updates and Starbound is still in Beta with modding support and updates. I like both of them for different reasons.
