I just realized how utterly amazing a procedurally generated Mechwarrior mercenaries game would be.
Like, imagine XCOM where you get to salvage weapons and armor from the aliens and then fully customize that armor.
MW4 was a great concept but it had so little meat to it because it was before procedural generation, it had a limited pool of characters, missions, and maps, but mechanics perfectly suited to an extremely long game.
