But plot denies any logical decisions besides the Dreadnaught's layout.
The AT-TE was also capable of climbing cliff faces and practically using that as a staging ground and somehow the AT-TE could carry quite a lot of clones, just in a very cramped area.
Plus place a few Jet Troopers on top, you have a mobile death platform hard to flank, hard to surprise, also artillery.
