Do remember that this is a sidearm designed for Tecarian infantry droids, I assure you they are the least likely species in the galaxy to trash a shot by panicking, and more importantly the weapon will be linked right into their HUD. recoil and missing are non-issues, the question at hand is more which causes more trauma and which is more awesome.
I am being told that 9mm APHE is a thing...so no dedicated CQC sidearm is needed anymore!
