Sure enough the empire provides for the millions of inhabitants, they guarantee appropriate housing, food, and employment, as the money generated by Tecarian Imperial Arms has nowhere else to go it is all funneled into carefully regulating the quality of life of these people. As perfect as it all sounds though the unfortunate truth is that nothing happens anywhere on Tecar without the empire knowing, if you became in any way involved in a legal matter on the planet you'd probably be very uncomfortable with how much info they can present on any given person and how casually they do, and amidst the crowds of people each individual quickly becomes little more than a number. A number with needs to be cared for of course, it plays out like a very impersonal game of the sims, if you lose your job somebody will quickly inform you that a new one has been arranged, if you run out of food somebody will come by and ask if you need more.

Damn it Don't Starve, why did you do this to me!
WHO NEEDS PRIVACY WHEN YOU HAVE THE NSA, MICROSOFT,THE CREEPY PERSON LOOKING THROUGH YOUR WINDOW AND ME TO STEALIT?!
Someone who isn't about as sane as a cat like me.
Life goes on normally and comfortably but it can quickly become apparent that it only does so because somebody is pulling strings all around you to provide you with what you need.
