It'd still be worth it though. There's so many subtleties and other things you just can't see with glasses or contacts. I'd still recommend it. There's really no way it can go wrong these days.
With my eye forced open like that and the smell of burning pupils in the air I'd probably flip the fuck out and lose my eye for good.
I do NOT do well during procedures like that, the only reason I can sit still through the dentist scraping my gums and crushing my lip is because I'm so used to it by this point.
