The only thing that could possibly be different is the vanilla game's files, yet those are the same too. I'mma try and remove my texture packs and see if that does anything. If it does, then my 7 year old Laptop is offically better at running games than my new 1 year old Desktop.(11-08-2015, 03:17 AM)Shaadaris Wrote: I am officially stumped.Bethesda's legendary coding at work.
I transferred my Fallout: New Vegas install from my laptop to my desktop, changed the relevant ini file settings so things would use the right graphics card, and made sure the file structure was exactly time same by completely deleting my Desktop's older version of the install and replacing it with the one from my laptop.

For unknown reasons, it crashes without fail when trying to load one of my savefiles. The loading wheel will turn for a minute and then suddenly "Fallout New Vegas has stopped responding. Yadda yadda you know the deal." Doesn't matter which save I try either. Confusion Level: 9001.
My Skyrim, for which I did the same thing (actually less meticulously) works perfectly fine; actually it works BETTER than it does on my laptop.
