You can split archives into parts to store them on external media that are too small to hold the whole file, such as DVDs.
If you were to delete one of those archive parts, the .iso most likely won't extract anymore. It would be missing some data after all.
Its not at 98% compression rate. I can tell you that right now without even looking at it.

You've gone from 26GB to 25GB, so whatever percentage that is, that is your actual compression ratio.
