why did I skip on that stream.
to be fair, the only reason she even did requests was because sh was having art block with commissions and said "maybe doing a request or two might help"
one request was KUNG FU PANCAKE FIGHTING ACTION BEE which didn't get uploaded sadly. the other was my request.
You or Rainbolt anyways.

This. They used to be about even in capability, but lately NVIDIA has been putting wads of cash into developers pockets to make games that only perform well on NVIDIA hardware in order to guarantee themselves a market.
The AMD cards are descended from the ancient maker of GPUs known as ATI, whose cards have had legendary performance nearly 20 years already. They're in a bit of a slip now because AMD is having trouble competing with NVIDIA and Intel's unfair tactics in the marketplace, but that performance most certainly is still there. It just is harder to observe it because of the foul play going on.
If you remove NVIDIA's jealously guarded GameWorks from the equation AMD cards, generally said to pull ahead in compute based rendering but behind in tessellation based rendering, can match an equivalent GeForce in tessellation, but add GameWorks in and a 13% difference turns into a 200% difference.
Nevermind when AMD had TressFX which crippled NVIDIA cards just like GameWorks crippled AMD cards they responded by making TressFX open-source so NVIDIA could optimize for it. NVIDIA responded by continuing to ensure AMD can't optimize for GameWorks.
This is why I support AMD with my money, I think they make a perfectly fine product for my purposes and I respect their business practices considering their precarious position in the market, mind you I learned about all this and decided to only buy AMD AFTER I had already bought my FX series but it makes me feel much better about my FX series and it's the reason I'll be getting a Radeon 390 as soon as I have a spare 3 or 400 to burn.
