I mean the standards here is SPM and most of the time you will get it even with full 7-9 Gs but only malay C/credit you get to have your SPM cert and get on with worser job choices and the armed forced here does only require 2-3 credits on the cert, of course if you fail only that malay, you dont get to have your cert even you have flying 8-9 A+s, which I almost did with a D/marginal pass.(12-08-2015, 05:04 PM)SCN-3_NULL Wrote: jeese, you know there's something wrong if conscription requires college credits, you guys start out with a diploma after highschool mind if I remind you guys while I have to waste another 3 years and some money for mine,Enlistment is NOT conscription. Conscription is any able bodied man with a pulse, draft is anyone within certain criteria, and enlistment is any volunteer within those same criteria.
I would not have this problem if I had a full diploma, the military considers a GED inferior to a diploma because it means you dropped out and then regretted it, so I can kinda understand them needing more than just the GED as proof that you are committed to your academics and will be committed to them. Basically they're willing to overlook you accepting defeat as long as you got back up and pushed extra hard afterwards.
Edit:
forgot to add as my from my year onwards they added passing History as a requirement to get the cert too.
