I come to an impasse lads. I'm looking to replace 3 Tecarian walkers, the Puma, Demon, and Paladin, however I'm tripping over some key details regarding arm structure. The Puma is an infiltration unit designed around immense but unsustainable firepower and makes use of relatively advanced actuators a gyros. The Demon is a drone walker intended to spearhead assaults by demanding attention that would otherwise be better given to MBTs and is designed to be only as lethal and advanced as it needs to be. Finally the Paladin is largely exclusive to ODST units as it's lack of proper arms allows it to fit in a drop pod, but is otherwise a very crude design.
Basically I'm questioning if they need articulated arms to potentially right themselves if they fall or if more compact and powerful weapon pods should go into the shoulder joints, if they fall they are most likely dead anyways but the Tecarians don't like being caught unprepared, and the articulated limbs would add a little versatility to their field of fire.
